Yazıcı family`s specialization of construction is based on a past of five generations nearly 150 years. Tradition of building which was started in the period of the Ottomans was stopped temporarily by Ibrahim Effendi who was the first son of the family of second generation but it has come to this days with successful works for many years. That period Ibrahim Effendi began to work as a clerk in the Yıldız Palace instead of being busy with construction works. During this time that he had been working in the Palace he got a letter from his mother and when he read the letter he understood that he could not be unconcerned about construction work and he made his superiors read it in the Palace.

 

In the letter his mother had been telling about how difficult they brought the water for their village from a 1 km distance. The Palace Authority considering the letter went to the Province of Kayseri Bunyan County Village of Buyuk Burunduz in 1851 and they brought the water from its source and made a drinking fountain opposite the house of Ibrahim Efendi`s mother whixh is called YAZICI DRINKING FOUNTAIN today.

 

Vahip YAZICI who is the second son of Ibrahim Efendi established the firm Vahip YAZICI in 1944 to be building contractor.  Thus Ibrahim, Mehmet and Zubeyir YAZICI the three sons of Vahip YAZICI choose this job to make the family`s tradition of construction work last.
